Free Write Friday - ♡ Natalie's Nook ♡ (19)

28/3/14

Are we seriously on to our 19th post of NN? Time, slow down!

Otherwise, today is Friday and that means that it's Natalie's Nook day!
As mentioned in the title, I will be free writing, and by free writing I mean that I will jot down a story with a random topic.

Music. How I wish that others respected the older and original generations of music, like Mozart, or Beethovan. Music defined today is the sound of dial-up remixed with the screeches of a duck. Music is lacking vocals and clear ideas as the clock starts ticking. For instance, boy bands who think that it's cool to have their hair this way or that, thinking that appearance and autotune is a must. Thanks, Justin Bieber.

I've noticed that the list of popular instruments are narrowing down to piano and guitar, and not the rich essences of violins or harps. I listen to songs now and then but all I hear is the typical piano and guitar combination, along with the dubstep variant. Wake up, music!

Wow, that seemed like a rant instead of a story, and I might have mentioned the word 'music' too often.

Letters to Electra - A Confession

25/03/14

Dear Electra,

My face now, tired from unnecessary topics.
I am getting TIRED of nonsense. Mention the word  'swag' again or I'm gonna pass out.

Maths, maths, little miss maths, who knew that it    would be one of my new favourite hobbies? Tonight  my father and I computed a lot of problems and it  was so fascinating.

As usual I went to the music suite and found Gretel and Snow today. They were both playing 'Let It Go' on 'their' guitars, while I played on the keyboard then guitar. Gretel had a crush on another year seven, which supposedly is my classmate's brother. Why am I telling you this?

This week my father went out of town for work and bought the whole family DOUGHNUTS AND COOKIES! I get really excited everytime he comes back with food. Mmm, food.

Last period today I had dance. We're doing choreography, and I'm in the same group as Regina and Gwen. It was a little awkward to talk to them, but despite that we still got the dance sorted. We're dancing to 'Move Your Body' by Queen Beyonce. Regina chose the song and      already had a dance in mind.

Letters to Electra - Growing With Fury

19/3/14

Dear Electra,

I am DEAD from P.E! I am here in the hallway lining up and waiting for R.E. Lately I've been getting very angry at everyone for no reason. I may look like I've got nothing to do, but in my mind, everything is going CRAZY. Utter pandemonium is shooting throughout my brain. Being the introvert I am, I feel too bothered to talk to anyone, except you, because you don't talk back, and actually understand (well, at least I think you do).

For Regina and Gwen, there's another hiccup for us. For this weeks Natalie's Nook I was planning to interview them, but I couldn't because they've got some other people to worry about. Oh well, I don't care. Let them live their own lives. I have nothing to do with them. Oh no, that's how angry I am. Now I received the fury of heavy metal band members. Sick.

Let me vent out on my own now, excuse me.

My Future Plans - ♡ Natalie's Nook ♡ (17)

14/3/14 (meant to be posted on the 7th of March)

Hellooo!

On today's edition of Natalie's Nook I will share my future plans with you. Organisation is crucial to me, so I've already planned out my future.

1) Finish high school.
Oh high school, where life actually defines 'life'.

2) Receive a scholarship to a good university.
A hard point to tackle, but you've just gotta get what you WANT.

3) Major in psychology and minor in English.
Excited to study more about these two things.

4) Finish university.
Might take four years to accomplish, but seem like two months. Three if you major in engineering.

5) Get married in my local church.
Coming from a girl who is still in high school, it is very unusual to hear.

6) Choose career path as a cognitive psychologist and fiction novel author.
Been dreaming of becoming these two occupations ever since I've heard of the two words 'English' and 'behaviour'

7) Have kids.
If it's a boy, the husband will decide; and if it's a girl, I'll name her something close to Mercina or Mardovica;

8) Live life as it is.
I will settle in fine and keep on moving forward as I continue to live the rest of my journey ahead. Might even plan to take on more challenges.

What are you planning to do for your future? Remember to think carefully!

Letters to Electra - Stress Attack

12/3/14

Dear Electra,

I have a million things to do before bedtime, and it's killing me! It's near my bedtime now and I'm going to rush this letter.

Today I went on a pilgrimage with my class and another. It took an hour to get to the final church, and it killed me. I was struck with a case of boredom because I didn't have a device to listen to music with, but I managed to bring a book with me, and that brought another problem. I knew that if I read a book in a moving vehicle I would start to get really dizzy. So I decided to go look out the window, and think of thoughts that would pop up into my head instantly.

So far, all of my nights this week have been very full, and I don't usually have much time for leisure, like playing guitar, or studying Spanish.

Letters to Electra - Mercina

5/3/14

Dear Electra,

I can't stop humming to Lodovica Comello songs, but 'Otro Dia Mas' is complicated to hum. Wait, why am I writing about humming? Okay, I am supposed to write about my poster assessment for science, but I don't have a device or poster paper to put information down. My particular topic is about the life of stonefish. Stonefish are basically the devils of wildlife.

Yesterday after singing lessons I talked to the 'girl who played an important role in my life', and that person is my best friend from primary. Let's call her Mercina, because that's the first name that came into my head. We talked about what was happening so far in our lives, which seems dramatic, but we had to come up with a topic to talk about. I can't describe what it feels like to talk to a person who you haven't interacted with in a long time.

After I finished writing that paragraph, two of my classmates came to talk, and they noticed that Regina was seated with her new friend and not me. They made a song that makes fun of a girl and a boy sitting next to each other because Regina's friend was a boy. The song went like this:

Regina and ______ sitting on a tree
K.I.S.S.I.N.G
First comes love,
Then come marriage,
Then comes babies in a golden carriage.

Such an original song, right?

Oops, Angie is here. Gotta go before I explode into 1 million pieces.

February Favourites - ♡ Natalie's Nook ♡ (16)

2/3/14 (meant to be posted on Friday the 28th of Feb)

Ni Hao!

I can't believe that it's March already! To celebrate the end of a month I am going to share my favourite things I used throughout the time period. This is usually called 'Monthly Favourites' and is often talked about by most girls on Youtube.

My favourite album is Universo by Lodovica Comello. I've mentioned this album once on Letters to Electra and it has been my favourite album for a little while. What I like about this album is that it's in Spanish, and lots of you know that I'm learning the popular foreign language so I can expand my knowledge on the Spaniards that conquered the Philippines (my home country), and also that Lodovica Comello is one of my favourite Disney actresses and artists.

I haven't finished reading this particular book, but it still makes it my favourite book of this month. The Lucy Variations by Sara Zarr is a book that is about sixteen year old Lucy Beck-Moreau who has a desire to play the piano again ever since she stopped at fourteen. I can call this book girly because it has cliché morals and cheesy and dramatic meanings. Despite its flaws this book is very enjoyable to read.

I love looking at old pictures of my family and myself because you can really reflect upon how far you've come ever since that photo was taken.

This is a photo I took of myself at camp, three years ago:
My room mates and I were messing around at midnight and taking random 'selfies' (not yet a trend) with messy hair, tired eyes, and weird facial expressions. I was holding my rabbit Emily and Minnie Mouse. I bet that this will be my biggest regret in blogging, which is posting this photo of me with bed hair.

I haven't had much favourites throughout the month. Maybe I just forgot. Hehe!
