Dear Electra,
I HAVE CREATED A MAGICAL PORTAL!
By magical, you might be thinking of wizards, spells and using your powers to fight good and evil. You are a little bit right, but it is a mathematical portal.
If you enter it, you will meet Stephen Hawking, who will give you a tour in the history of mathematics. The tour will take you to the construction of the pyramids in Ancient Egypt, the inventing process of harps in Ancient Greece and the Great Depression in the USA.
On the opposing subject, I HAVE CREATED AN ENGLISH PORTAL ALSO!
If you enter it, you will be guided by William Shakespeare. He will take you through classic authors' lives by visiting Louisa May Alcott in juvenile hall, the Brontë sisters and their struggle of being female writers and Charles Dickens developing the characters and stories we've always loved. Out of the two, which portal are you willing to pick? I'd pick the mathematical portal because it's my favourite subject to learn about at school.
As I walked to school this morning I was extremely shocked at how heavy the rain fell. There were puddles everywhere: my backyard, other people's driveways, and culs-de-sac. My class looked out of the window from our classroom to find teachers struggling out of the flooded cul-de-sac and getting sucked by the drain below the water. Some of my classmates laughed, but I felt bad for them because laughing at people struggling is not a way to live life. The rain ruined our choir performance for assembly today, as the gym/auditorium is flooded. Instead of assembly, the school has a free period to stay in their form classrooms and do whatever the teacher tells. Apparently, for Gwen's class, they spent the free period doing a maths test. I'd say lucky for them, but I think it's inappropriate since they hated the test.
